We are glad to inform you that Albany Telugu Association is kicking off new year with celebrating "Sankranthi Sambaralu" on Saturday, Jan 16th, 2016 at Hindu Cultural Center, Albany, NY. Please mark your calendar!

Dear friends,

In our continuous effort to serve the community, Albany Telugu Association (Albany Telugu Association) has come up with an idea of supporting our local Food Banks who work tirelessly and continuously to feed the destitute in the capital region.

It is also an initiative intended to involve our youth in the community service by inculcating and nourishing in them a thought process on giving back to the society.

The Food Bank is a non-profit organization and its mission is to alleviate hunger by providing and distributing food judiciously to the hungry and disadvantaged people in 23 counties.

Let us all join together to make a difference in the lives of the needy families. Please support us with a donation of the below mentioned canned foods or you can contribute cash and we will buy food and donate on your behalf. All the proceedings are tax-deductible.

* Canned Fruits
* Canned Veggies
* Peanut Butter
* Canned Meals
* Boxed Meals
* Canned Beans
* Pasta
* Rice
* Cereal

We have a target to collect 100lbs and Albany Telugu Association Board has graciously decided to match the quantity collected.

Dates of Food Drive : 01/16/2016
Coordinators : Sudha Datla (Albany Telugu Association Youth wing) 518-258-1280 Location: Hindu Cultural Center, Albany.
Instructions: Please leave the food in the boxes placed at the front desk on the day of Sankratnhi event.

Please help us to make the drive successful and also encourage your kids to participate in it.

Thank you & Regards,.
